Android 5.0 Lollipop now rolling out to AT&T’s Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5

More than 4 months after the update started rolling out to Nexus devices, AT&T has finally announced this morning that it is pushing Android 5.0 Lollipop to its Galaxy Note 4 variant. Earlier this month, Sprint also began rolling out Lollipop to its Note 4 model. The update for AT&T users comes in at 1.16GB and is based on Android 5.0.1.

Lollipop brings a more Material Design-based version of TouchWiz to the Galaxy Note 4. Other new enhancements include a revamped notification drawer, a new card-based multitasking interface, and support for lock screen notifications. In its carrier-specific changelog, AT&T also says that the update includes Samsung’s Find My Mobile and Reactivation lock features. The update is rolling out now over the air, so it could take a few days to hit your device. You can manually check for it by heading into Settings > General > About device > Software updates.

Also, Samsung has today started rolling out Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. This update comes in at 930MB and is rolling out in the US, Canada, and France. The update includes many of the same features as the Galaxy Note 4, including lock screen notifications, a refreshed Material Design interface, and improved performance.

Google revealed earlier this month that Android 5.0 Lollipop was on just 3.3 percent of devices, but the continuation of rollouts to devices like the Note 4 and Tab S will certainly help increase that number at an increasingly fast pace. Recently, Android 5.1 has started rolling out to various devices and, as usual, it hit the Nexus line of handsets first.
